COMPLETED

Central Electric Cooperative out of Stillwater, Oklahoma, signed a service agreement with Today's Power, Inc. for a 500 KW DUO solar system.  This system isa non-penetrating ground mount, and is close to completion.  The array has been fully assembled and is ready to be powered up.

Modules are installed in tandem - one facing south and the other facing north to maximize installed DC watts per square foot and energy yield per square foot.  This configuration yields the most solar energy density available in the industry and is ideal for any applications where maximum energy yield is required.

  • Maximum Energy Density – Energy density is defined as the power density (how many watts are in a given space) times the productivity (how many kilowatt hours each watt produces). Using the shade tolerant capabilities of the Ten K module, the DUO System is compressed into an asymmetric wave with a vertical gap and an extreme packing density, allowing it to achieve a best-in-class solar energy density. The unique properties of the Ten K module allow it to recapture any reflected light, even when it’s coming from another module in the system. This allows the DUO System to match the productivity of conventional low tilt systems with all the added benefits of being at a higher tilt: improved soiling, cooling, and light capture. The productivity of the system combines with the best-in-class power density to deliver the best solar energy density available.

  • Unmatched Reliability – The low-voltage operation of the Ten K system reduces the wear on components, increasing their expected lifetime. Parallel architecture allows us to build redundancies into every level of the system, so even if a component does fail it is tolerated by design. No single failure can cripple energy production of a Ten K system.

  • Low Voltage Safety – The same low-voltage operation that reduces component wear, also makes the Ten K System safer than any other option on the market. The internal voltage is kept below the arc threshold, and smart electronics disconnect each module if the system’s circuit is broken. The DUO System is UL 1703 and 1741 certified, NEC 2014 compliant, and IBC 2012 Class A certified.
